RESCHEDULED: West Newton Bridge Inspection This Week in Westmoreland County

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 has announced regularly scheduled routine safety inspection of West Newton Bridge carrying Route 136 (West Main Street) over the Youghiogheny River in West Newton Borough, Westmoreland County.

Daytime single-lane restrictions controlled by flaggers are scheduled between Collinsburg Road and Water Street on Thursday, October 26 from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM depending on weather and operations. Inspection originally scheduled for Thursday, October 19 and Friday, October 20 was delayed due to weather.

Crews from TranSystems Corporation Consultants will be conducting the review.

Remain alert and follow the posted signs and speed limits. Safety is everyone's responsibility.
