PennDOT/BPC Announce Jenks Street Closure as the I-80 North Fork Bridges Project Continues to Move Forward in Brookville, Jefferson County

Indiana, PA – Today the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and Bridging Pennsylvania Constructors (BPC) are announcing a road closure for Jenks Street (Route 4003) in Brookville in support of the I-80 North Fork Bridges Project.

As mentioned in the April 2024 I-80 North Fork Bridges Project Public Meeting, BPC's subcontractor, Fay will close and detour Jenks Street (Route 4003) to allow for partial demolition of the I-80 bridges over Jenks Street (Route 4003). The Jenks Street closure is anticipated to begin on September 23, 2024 and it will remain closed until December 31, 2024.

Traffic on I-80 will be shifted towards the center median and will remain two lanes of traffic in each direction after partial demolition is complete.

To detour, motorists are advised to use Jenks Street (Route 4003), Maplevale Road, (T-845) Allegheny Boulevard (Route 36), Main Street (Route 322) and Valley Street.

As the project continues, ongoing coordination and updates with local Emergency Management Services (EMS) will occur.
