Route 77 to be Closed at Route 8 in Crawford County

Drivers Should Follow Posted Detours

Route 77 is closed for construction at the intersection with Route 8 in Bloomfield Township, Crawford County.

Drivers are reminded to follow the posted detours, which use Route 408, Route 8, and Route 89.

Route 77 eastbound is local traffic only starting at Riceville Road (Route 1039). Route 77 westbound is local traffic only starting at Dorn Road.

Route 8 remains open in both northbound and southbound directions but there is no access to turn onto Route 77.

The closure is necessary as part of a project to realign Route 77 at Route 8.

PennDOT urges motorists to slow down when driving in work zones, and also to be alert to changing conditions, avoid distractions and to pay attention to signs and flaggers. Drive responsibly in work zones for your safety and the safety of the workers.
