The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to view the plans for a proposed project to replace the bridge that carries Dotyville Road over Pine Creek in Oil Creek Township, Crawford County.
The bridge is located on Dotyville Road between the intersection with Enterprise Road (Route 2028) and the intersection with Duncan Road.
This project includes removing the existing one-lane steel truss bridge and constructing a new concrete bridge. The proposed structure will have two lanes and shoulders on each side of the roadway and will be constructed on a slightly different vertical alignment. Minimal paving will be done on each side of the bridge and new guide rail will be installed.
Work is expected to occur during the 2026 construction season.
The bridge was closed in 2018 due to deteriorating conditions. It was building in 1900 and is rated in poor condition. Prior to closure, approximated 260 vehicles a day used the bridge on average. The bridge is owned by Crawford County.
During construction, traffic will continue to use the posted detour, using Enterprise Road and Duncan Road.
