King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that various construction activities are scheduled next week on Interstate 76, Interstate 95, and other state highways in Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.
The work schedules and locations are:
Delaware County
- Monday, February 20, between 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Interstate 476 and the U.S. 322/Commodore Barry Bridge interchanges in City of Chester and Chester Township for bridge inspection;
- Thursday, February 23, and Friday, February 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 at the Route 352 Interchange in City of Chester for retaining wall inspection; and
- Friday, February 24, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Route 320/Route 352 and the I-476 interchanges in City of Chester and Chester Township for bridge inspection.
Montgomery County
- Tuesday, February 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a moving right lane closure is scheduled on eastbound I-76 between the U.S. 202 and the Gulph Mills interchanges in Upper Merion Township for bridge inspection;
- Tuesday, February 21, and Thursday, February 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a moving right lane closure is scheduled on westbound I-76 between the King of Prussia/Norristown and the U.S. 202 interchanges in Upper Merin Township for bridge inspection;
- Tuesday, February 21, and Thursday, February 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a moving right lane closure is scheduled on westbound I-76 between the Gladwyne and the Route 23 interchanges in West Conshohocken Borough and Lower Merion Township for bridge inspection; and
- Tuesday, February 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a moving right lane closure is scheduled on eastbound I-76 between the I-476 and the Belmont Avenue interchanges in West Conshohocken Borough and Lower Merion Township for bridge inspection.
Philadelphia
- Thursday, February 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, alternating lane closures are scheduled on the northbound I-95 ramp to Callowhill Street for bridge inspection.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
These construction activities are part of PennDOT's program to ensure the safety and overall condition of our state highways.
