If you have student loan debt, working for the Commonwealth gets you one step closer to loan forgiveness through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF). PSLF provides employees who work in public service some relief on their student loans.
Working for the Commonwealth is considered public service under PSLF. Through PSLF, borrowers with Federal Direct Loans making payments in certain repayment plans can have the balance of the student loans forgiven after making 120 qualifying payments.
