7:15 PM Update: Roads Impacted by Downed Trees or Utilities in North Central Pennsylvania

Montoursville, PA – Motorists in north central Pennsylvania are advised the following roads in the area (listed by county) are closed or have a lane restriction due to downed trees or utilities. Updates will be sent periodically.


Lycoming

  • Route 2061 (Beaver Lake Road) between Poust Road and Beaver Lake Road in Penn Township.

Northumberland

  • (OPEN) Route 147 between Hallowing Run Road and Raker Road in Lower Augusta Township.
  • (OPEN) Route 4012 (Snydertown Road) between Main Street in Snydertown Borough and Black Mill Road in Upper Augusta Township.
  • Route 1024 (Ridge Road) between Stone School Road and the intersection of Comfort Road and Strawbridge Road in Point Township.

Snyder

  • Route 235 between Troxelville Road in Adams Township, Snyder County and Creek Road in Hartley Township, Union County.

Union

  • Route 3002 between Barnett Road and White Mountain Road in Hartley Township.
  • Route 3013 (Wirth Road) between Sierra Lane and Pleasant Grove Road in Lewis Township.

Anyone who drives around barriers intended to close a road can face increased penalties if emergency responders are called to rescue motorists who disregard traffic control signs.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following local alerts on X.
