Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised of a lane restriction next week on Route 54 in Mount Carmel Township, Northumberland County, for a soil remediation project due to a previous crash.
On Wednesday, September 27, 2023, the contractor will be working on Route 54 just south of the intersection with Route 61. Motorists can expect the eastbound lane to be restricted. Traffic will be controlled by single lane conditions with flagging. Work will be performed between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, weather permitting and is expected to be completed in one day.
Motorists should expect delays, watch for slow or stopped vehicles, and drive with caution through the work zone.
