Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that there will be night work and traffic restrictions tomorrow (Thursday) night for a pipe installation at the Centerville Road Interchange Improvement in East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County. This work is expected to be performed from 7:00 PM Thursday, September 7, to 6:00 AM Friday, September 8.
Weather permitting, traffic will be reduced to a single lane on Centerville Road between the eastbound and westbound ramps. Signals will be in flash mode and traffic will be directed by flaggers.
These restrictions will be in place for a pipe installation on the ramp from Centerville Road to westbound Route 30. The ramp will remain open and traffic will be shifted around the work area. The pipe installation is expected to be completed in one night.
Delays are expected. Motorists should seek alternate routes.
This work is part of the Centerville Road Interchange Improvement project, which consists of structure replacement, Superpave overlay, base replacement, roadway widening, milling, guiderail improvements, drainage improvements, pavement markings, ADA improvements, traffic signal improvements, and other miscellaneous construction.
