Bridge to be inspected from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Sunday, February 23
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today there will be rolling left lane closures this Sunday, February 23, on the Interstate 83 viaduct bridge between the Susquehanna River and Cameron Street in Harrisburg, Dauphin County. These restrictions will allow the top of the bridge to be inspected.
Weather permitting, the inspection will be performed from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Sunday, February 23. Rolling left lane restrictions will be in place in both directions of I-83.
This work was previously planned for last Saturday but was postponed due to inclement weather.
Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the road crews.
