Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a box culvert replacement project is set to begin next week on Route 772 (W. Orange Street) in Lancaster County. The structure is located at Pfautz Avenue between Longnecker Road and Sensenich Drive just west of Lititz Borough in Warwick Township.
Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, June 5. The project consists of a box culvert replacement, minor approach work and guide rail updates. A water line relocation also is part of this project.
Route 772 will be closed at the bridge. A detour will be in place using Fruitville Pike (Route 4011), Lititz Road (Route 4022), Woodcrest Avenue (Route 4022), Second Avenue, and Route 501.
Pfautz Avenue also will be closed at the intersection with Route 772. A detour will be in place using Longnecker Road, Pinewood Avenue, and Sensenich Drive.
Detours are expected to be lifted before the start of the school year.
All work is expected to be completed by September 5, 2023.
Doli Construction, Corp., of Chalfont, PA, is the contractor on this $679,258 project.
