King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction activities are planned on several state highways in Montgomery County, as part of a project to address stormwater management on over 90 state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.
Motorist are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, October 2, through Friday, October 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 73 (Big Road) between Swamp Creek Road and Route 29 (Gravel Pike) in Lower Frederick Township for road restoration;
- Monday, October 2, through Friday, October 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Allentown Road between Reinert Road and Route 63 (Forty Foot Road) in Towamencin Township for paving;
- Monday, October 2, through Friday, October 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Ridge Pike between Fern Avenue and Casswell Avenue in Lower Providence Township for road restoration; and
- Monday, October 2, through Friday, October 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Susquehanna Road between Westmont Avenue and Easton Road in Abington Township for pipe replacement.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Highway Materials, Inc of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on this $14.9 million project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
