King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that bridge demolition is scheduled on Route 401 (Conestoga Road) in West Pikeland Township, Chester County, and N. Gulph Road in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Chester County
- Tuesday, April 2, through Friday, April 12, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled weekdays and Saturday on Route 401 (Conestoga Road) between Newcomen Road and 7 Oaks Road in West Pikeland Township.
Montgomery County
- Monday, March 18, through Saturday, March 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane closure with periodic traffic paces will be in place on southbound N. Gulph Road between 1st Avenue and U.S. 202 in Upper Merion Township.
Motorists should use caution and be prepared for slow or stopped traffic approaching the work areas. The schedule is weather dependent.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
