    I-95 Among State Highways Scheduled for Construction Activities Next Week in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester Counties

    King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Interstate 95 is among state highways scheduled for construction activities in Philadelphia, Bucks, and Chester counties.

    The work schedules and locations are:

    Philadelphia

    • Monday, May 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, alternating lane closures are scheduled on southbound I-95 at the Bartram Avenue/Essington Avenue Interchange for bridge inspection;
    • Tuesday, May 16, and Wednesday, May 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on the Aramingo Avenue ramp to northbound I-95 for bridge inspection;
    • Wednesday, May 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Richmond Street between Castor Avenue and Wheatsheaf Lane for bridge inspection;
    • Thursday, May 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on westbound Spring Garden Street between Art Museum Drive and the westbound I-76 Interchange for bridge inspection; and
    • Friday, May 19, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, a partial lane closure is scheduled on the Race Street ramp to northbound I-95 for bridge inspection.

    Bucks County

    • Monday, May 15, through Friday, May 26, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, periodic lane closures are scheduled at the Brown Avenue and Par Avenue Intersection in Bensalem Township for ADA curb ramp operations.

    Chester County

    • Monday, May 15, through Friday, May 19, from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 10 (Octorara Trail/Compass Road) between U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) and Beaver Dam Road in West Sadsbury, Sadsbury, West Caln, and Honey Brook townships for shoulder cutting.

    Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

    These construction activities are part of PennDOT's program to ensure the safety and overall condition of our state highways.
