King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that various construction activities are scheduled next week on Interstate 76, U.S. 1, and other state highways in Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.
The work schedules and locations are:
Bucks County
- Tuesday, March 7, through Thursday, March 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, alternating moving lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 1 between the Route 63 (Woodhaven Road) and the Business U.S. 1 interchanges in Philadelphia and Bensalem Township for overhead sign inspection.
Montgomery County
- Monday, March 6, and Wednesday, March 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a moving right lane closure is scheduled on westbound I-76 between the Gladwyne and the Route 23 interchanges in West Conshohocken Borough and Lower Merion Township for bridge inspection; and
- Tuesday, March 7, and Thursday, March 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a moving right lane closure is scheduled on eastbound I-76 between the I-476 and the Belmont Avenue interchanges in West Conshohocken Borough and Lower Merion Township for bridge inspection.
Philadelphia
- Sunday, March 12, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) at the westbound I-76 Interchange for bridge inspection
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
These construction activities are part of PennDOT's program to ensure the safety and overall condition of our state highways.
