King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that various construction activities are scheduled on U.S. 422 and other state highways in Montgomery and Chester counties.
The work schedules and locations are:
Montgomery County
- Sunday, July 9, through Friday, July 14, 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating moving lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 422 between the Royersford Interchange and the Pawlings Road overpass in Limerick, Upper Providence, and Lower Providence townships for line striping;
- Sunday, July 9, through Friday, July 14, 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating moving lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 422 between the Route 724/Phoenixville and the Santatoga interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove Township for line striping;
- Sunday, July 9, through Friday, July 14, 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a moving lane closure is scheduled on Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) between the Bucks County line and Route 73 (Church Road) in Montgomery, Horsham, Upper Dublin, Abington, and Cheltenham townships for line striping;
- Sunday, July 9, through Friday, July 14, 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating moving lane closures are scheduled in both directions on Route 309 (Fort Washington Expressway) between the Bethlehem Pike and the Easton Road interchanges in Lower Gwynedd, Upper Dublin, Whitemarsh, Springfield, and Cheltenham townships for line striping;
- Sunday, July 9, through Friday, July 14, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM, a lane closure is scheduled on Allentown Road between County Line Road and Route 63 (Forty Foot Road) in Salford, Franconia, and Towamencin townships for line striping
- Sunday, July 9, through Friday, July 14, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 611 (Easton Road/York Road/Old York Road) between County Line Road and Cheltenham Avenue in Jenkintown Borough, Cheltenham, Montgomery, Abington, Upper Moreland, and Horsham townships for line striping;
- Sunday, July 9, through Friday, July 14, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM, a lane closure is scheduled on Bethlehem Pike between the Route 309 Interchange and Route 73 (Skippack Pike) in Lower Gwynedd, Upper Dublin and Whitemarsh townships and Ambler Borough for line striping;
- Sunday, July 9, through Friday, July 14, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM, a lane closure is scheduled on Township Line Road/Norristown Road between U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) and Butler Pike in East Norriton, Whitpain, and Plymouth townships for line striping; and
- Monday, July 10, through Monday, August 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Susquehanna Road between Westmont Avenue and Easton Road in Abington Township for pipe replacement.
Chester County
- Monday, July 10, through Friday, July 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Business U.S. 322 (Wilmington Pike) between Yorktown Avenue and Stadium Road in West Chester Borough for paving operations; and
- Tuesday, July 11, and Wednesday, July 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, alternating lane closures are scheduled in both direction on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Lenape Road and Greenwood Road in Kennett Township for bridge inspection.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
These construction activities are part of PennDOT's program to ensure the safety and overall condition of our state highways.
