Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that bridge repairs are planned at night this week and continuously this weekend on northbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) in Philadelphia under a $100.6 million project to rehabilitate the Wayne Junction Viaduct over the SEPTA tracks and Nicetown neighborhood in Philadelphia.
- Wednesday July 24, and Thursday, July 25, from 8:00 PM to 11:00 AM the following morning, periodic single and double lane closures are planned on northbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) between Interstate 76 (Schuylkill Expressway) and Henry Avenue.
- From 8:00 PM Friday, July 26, to 5:00 AM Monday, July 29, continuous single lane closures with periodic double lane closures are planned on northbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) between I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) and Henry Avenue.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because significant backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
