King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PECO Energy will be performing utility construction on several state highways across Chester, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Chester County
- Monday, March 6, through Tuesday, March 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled in both directions on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Josephs Way and Westgate Village Drive in East Whiteland Township.
Montgomery County
- Monday, March 6, through Wednesday, March 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on northbound Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike) between Airport Square Road and Upper State Road in Montgomery Township; and
- Monday, March 6, through Friday March 10, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled on westbound U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Roberts Road and Thomas Avenue in Lower Merion Township; and
- Monday, March 6, through Friday, March 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 (City Avenue) between Wynnewood Road and 63rd Street in Lower Merion Township.
Philadelphia
- Monday, March 6, through Friday, March 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on eastbound U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Sherwood Road and Drexel Road; and
- Monday, March 6, through Friday, March 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 (City Avenue) between Wynnewood Road and 63rd Street.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
