Work on Veterans Bridge in the City of Sunbury, Northumberland County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised of maintenance work today on the Route 61 (Veterans Bridge) in the city of Sunbury, Northumberland County.

On Tuesday, June 4, 2024, a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew will be cleaning expansion joints, replacing delineators and other miscellaneous maintenance work as a moving operation. Crews will begin with the center lanes then move to the left (passing) lanes of Route 61 north, and then south.

Work will be performed between the hours of 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

Motorists should watch for slow moving traffic, expect delays, and drive with caution through the area.
