Resurfacing Project to Begin Tomorrow on Route 706 and Route 467 in Bradford County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a resurfacing project will begin tomorrow on Route 706 (Taylor Avenue) between Pearl Street in Wyalusing Borough and Route 1004 (Turkey Path Run) Wyalusing Township and Route 467 (Main Street) between a half mile southeast of Hutchinson Boulevard /The Goose Road (T-622) in Pike Township and Davis Road (T-895) in LeRaysville Borough, Bradford County.

On Wednesday, May 24, 2023, through Thursday, May 25, 2023, a subcontractor will be performing tree trimming throughout the project area. Work will be performed during daylight hours. Motorist can expect single lane conditions with flagging where work is being performed.

Week of May 30
Starting on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, the contractor, Glenn O. Hawbaker, will begin milling Taylor Avenue between Pearl Street in Wyalusing Borough and Route 1004 (Turkey Path Road) in Wyalusing Township. Work will be performed during daylight hours. Motorists should expect delays in morning commutes and plan accordingly.

Starting on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, the contractor will be performing base repairs on Main Street in LeRaysville, Pike Township. Motorists can expect single lane conditions with flagging.  Work will be performed during daylight hours.

Glenn O. Hawbaker is the prime contractor for this $1.7 million resurfacing project. Work includes tree trimming, milling and paving of the roadway, guide rail and sign upgrade, and preservation of two bridge decks, the bridge carrying Route 706 over Brewer Creek and over the Wyalusing Creek in Wyalusing Township. Work on this project is expected to be completed by August 2023, weather permitting.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays, watch for stopped traffic, watch for lane changes, and drive with caution through the work zone.
