Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that both lanes of Route 3006 (Herndon Bypass Road) will be closed next week during daylight hours for a reclamation project between Routes 147 and 225 in Jackson Township, Northumberland County.
Beginning Monday. April 15, 2024, a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew will be performing work on the roadway during the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM daily. This project is expected to be completed on Friday, April 19, 2024, weather pending.
During work hours, Herndon Bypass Road will be closed to through traffic. A detour will be in place using Routes 147 and 225. Motorists are urged to drive with caution in the area and to expect slight delays.
