Bridge Rehabilitation Project Starts Next Week on Green Creek Road in Orange Township, Columbia County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a bridge rehabilitation project begins next week on Green Creek Road (Route 4020) in Orange Township, Columbia County.

The bridge, which spans Green Creek, is located between Rohrsburg Road (Route 4041) and Kline Road (T-570).

Starting on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, Green Creek Road will be closed between Rohrsburg Road and Kline Road, while the contractors, Rylind Construction Company, Inc., begin mobilizing equipment and setting up the detour for the bridge replacement project.

A detour using Rohrsburg Road, Main Street (Route 487), Charmund Road (Route 4034), and Mt. Pleasant Road (Route 4034), will be in place for the duration of the project.

Rylind Construction Company, Inc., is the prime contractor for this $1.1 million bridge rehabilitation project. Work on the project includes removal and replacement of the bridge deck and beams, substructure repairs, paving, line painting, and installation of new guide rail. Work on this project is anticipated to be completed in September 2025, weather permitting.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, anticipate delays in travel, and drive with caution.
