Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that the railroad crossing on Route 136 (East Main Street) – between Second and North Water streets – is scheduled to close Monday morning, August 26 through Friday, August 30, in West Newton Borough, Westmoreland County.
Crews from CSX Transportation will be performing maintenance. All work depends on weather and operations.
A posted detour will be in place using:
- Route 136 (Main Street)
- Route 31 (Mount Pleasant Road/West Newton Ruffsdale Road)
- Interstate 70 (Dwight D. Eisenhower Highway)
- Route 51 (Hayden Boulevard)
- Route 136 (West Newton Road/Main Street)
