Route 4070 Wildwood Road Bridge Reopened in Hampton Township

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing the Wildwood Road Bridge which carries Wildwood Road (Route 4070) over Willow Run and the Allegheny Valley Railroad in Hampton Township, Allegheny County, has reopened to traffic.

The Wildwood Road Bridge, which has been closed to traffic since March 1, has reopened to unrestricted traffic.  Operations on the structure include a full deck replacement, construction of new hammer head piers, replacement of the adjacent concrete box with steel girders, and approach paving work. 

The overall project is expected to conclude in mid-December. Only minor punch list items remain that should not impact traffic.

The Mekis Construction Corporation is the prime contractor on this $5.92 million project.
