    Bridge and Ramp Inspections Begin Wednesday in Pittsburgh

    ​Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing bridge and ramp inspection activities on the Boulevard of the Allies (Route 885) and I-376 (Parkway East) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will begin Wednesday, October 18 weather permitting.

    Single-lane restrictions and ramp narrowing will occur as needed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday, November 3 in the following locations:

    • Westbound Boulevard of the Allies under the Birmingham Bridge ramps to Forbes Avenue and westbound I-376 (Parkway East)
    • Eastbound Boulevard of the Allies under the Birmingham Bridge ramps to Forbes Avenue and eastbound I-376 (Parkway East)
    • Eastbound I-376 (Parkway East) off-ramp under the Birmingham Bridge to Forbes Avenue

     
    PennDOT crews will conduct the inspection work.

    Motorists should be prepared for changing traffic patterns. Please use caution when driving through the area.  Work zone safety is everyone's responsibility.
