Pipe Replacement on State Route 1028 in Wayne Township, Armstrong County Beginning Monday

Indiana, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 10 is alerting motorists to an upcoming detour as maintenance crews replace a cross pipe along State Route 1028 in Wayne Township, Armstrong County starting May 8, 2023.

From May 8 through 26, 2023 there will be intermittent closures from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM on State Route 1028 at State Route 1037 and motorists will need to detour during the closures. 

A Red Arrow detour will be in place with the route as follows:  From the Wayne Township side, motorists will follow State Route 1037 to State Route 1042 to State Route 85 to State Route 1035.  From the Valley Township side, the detour is State Route 1035 to State Route 85 to State Route 1042 to State Route 1037.  Detour signs will be posted with directional arrows.
