Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today the closure of Kreiss Road for the continuation of a corridor improvement project on PA 68 in Butler and Connoquenessing Townships in Butler County.
July 22 through 30, 2024 Kreiss Road, between the intersections of Route 68/Double Road/Stevenson Road and Route 68/Meridian Road/South Benbrook Road, will be closed for approximately nine days. The detour to access Kreiss Road from Route 68 will be by Stevenson Road.
This three-year project includes signal replacements, turn lane installation and corridor improvements to enhance safety and reduce congestion along PA 68.
Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. of State College, PA is the contractor for this $18.7 million project which is estimated to be completed in November 2025.
