Short-Term Detour for Three Degree Road Intersection Project Begins July 13

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 10 is announcing a short-term detour on Three Degree Road for the Three Degree Road Intersection Project in Middlesex and Adams townships, Butler County.

Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 10 is announcing a short-term detour on Three Degree Road for the Three Degree Road Intersection Project in Middlesex and Adams townships, Butler County.

July 13 at 6:00 PM through July 28, flaggers will direct traffic to begin to implement the detour.  Three Degree Road, north of Route 228, will be closed to Davidson Road for the widening of the roadway, drainage installation, traffic signal work, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ramp construction and driveway adjustments.

To detour, motorists will use Route 228, Mars/Evans City Road (Route 3015), Union Church Road (Route 3017), and Valencia/Three Degree Road (T-382).

The safety improvement project includes through lanes, turn lanes, side road improvements, the addition of service roads for access control, drainage and guide rail upgrades, signal replacement, signage and pavement markings, sidewalks, ADA ramps, and a roundabout.

Contractor, Independence Excavating, Inc. of Independence, OH will be completing this $55.8 million with a projected completion date in November 2026.
