The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has lifted the temporary speed limit reduction in place on Interstate 80 in Mercer and Venango counties.
Due to sudden snow squalls that created limited visibility for motorists, speed limits were temporarily reduced to 45 mph.
All speeds are now restored to their usual posted limits in the northwest region. However, speed limit restrictions remain in effect on other portions of Interstate 80.
