Route 86 to be Closed for Pipe Replacement in Woodcock Township, Crawford County

A portion Route 86 (Route 886) will be closed to through traffic in Woodcock Township, Crawford County from June 10 to 17, 2024.

The closure is necessary in order for a pipe to be replaced beneath the roadway. A detour will be posted using Route 198, Route 6/19, and Park Avenue in the City of Meadville.

The work is part of a $2.8 million project that includes resurfacing 8.9 miles of roadway from Oak Street to Henry Road, as well as updated guiderail and pavement markings. Motorists may encounter lane restrictions with traffic controlled by flaggers during these portions of construction.

PennDOT urges motorists to slow down when driving in work zones, and also to be alert to changing conditions, avoid distractions and to pay attention to signs and flaggers. Drive responsibly in work zones for your safety and the safety of the workers.
