Line Painting Planned on Derry Street (Route 3012) in the Harrisburg Area

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that final line painting is planned for later this week on a nearly 2.5-mile safety improvement project on Derry Street (Route 3012) in the City of Harrisburg, Paxtang Borough and Swatara Township, Dauphin County.

Weather permitting, line painting is expected to begin this Thursday, March 13, or Friday, March 14, and be completed sometime next week. Line painting will be performed during daylight hours with single lane closures under flagging.

This work will complete this project.

This work is associated with a project consisting of milling, paving, base replacement, signs, pavement markings, ADA ramps, pedestrian facility improvements at 19th Street and 21st Street intersections, and other miscellaneous construction on Derry Street from 13th Street in the City of Harrisburg through Paxtang Borough to Rosewood Lane in Swatara Township, Dauphin County.

Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.

JVI Group, Inc., of York Springs, PA, is the contractor on this $2,590,173 project.
