Traffic will be restricted on I-78.
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that there will be traffic restrictions this week on Interstate 78 in Lebanon County so inspections can be performed on the Route 72 (Ebenezer Road) bridge spanning the interstate in Union Township.
Weather permitting, an inspection will be performed Wednesday and Thursday, November 1 and 2, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on the Route 72 bridge spanning I-78 near mile markers 1.2 and 1.3 in Union Township, Lebanon County. There will be alternating right and left lane restrictions in the eastbound lanes of I-78 on Wednesday, November 1, and in the westbound lanes of I-78 on Thursday, November 2.
Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the inspection crews.
