Lane restrictions will be in place on I-283
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that an inspection is planned next week for the Chambers Hill Road (Route 3006) bridge spanning Interstate 283 between Interstate 83 and Exit 2 (Route 441) in Swatara Township, Dauphin County.
Weather permitting, this work will be performed from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 1, and Wednesday, October 2.
There will be alternating right and left lane restrictions on northbound I-283 on Tuesday, and on southbound I-283 on Wednesday.
Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the road crews.
