Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Interstate 283 bridges spanning westbound Route 322 and ramps in Swatara Township, Dauphin County, are scheduled to be inspected next week.
Weather permitting, on Monday, November 11, the northbound and southbound I-283 bridges over westbound Route 322 will be inspected. There will be alternating right and left lane closures on westbound Route 322 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
On Tuesday, November 12, the northbound and southbound I-283 bridges spanning the westbound Route 322 ramp to Eisenhower Boulevard and northbound I-83 will be inspected. There will be alternating right and left shoulder closures on the westbound Route 322 ramp from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
On Wednesday, November 13, the northbound I-283 bridge over the westbound Route 322 off-ramp to southbound I-283 will be inspected. There will be alternating right and left shoulder closures on the ramp from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the road crews.
