Deck Repairs this Weekend on NB I-81 (George N. Wade) Bridge in Dauphin County

Traffic restricted to two lanes between Enola/Marysville and Front Street

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a PennDOT bridge crew in Dauphin County is scheduled to perform deck spall repairs this weekend on the northbound Interstate 81 (George N. Wade) Bridge spanning the Susquehanna River between Cumberland and Dauphin counties. Delays are expected.

Weather permitting, traffic will be restricted to two lanes on northbound I-81 between Exit 65 (Marysville/Enola/Route 11/15) and Exit 66 (Harrisburg/Front Street) from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Saturday, November 4, and Sunday, November 5. The right lane and shoulder will be closed. The left and center lanes will remain open. 

Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to watch for slow-moving traffic as they approach the work zone, to obey work zone signs, and to slow down when approaching and traveling through work zones for their safety as well as for the safety of the road crews.
