Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Creek Road (Route 4012) bridge spanning the North Branch Bermudian Creek between Milford Green Road and Hull Road, in Washington Township, York County, is open to traffic. A detour associated with the closure has been lifted.
The bridge was closed last Friday due to deterioration discovered on the bridge deck pavement. The contractor placed a layer of asphalt on the deck to allow it to open to traffic. Final paving and other work will be performed on the bridge at a later date under flagging.
The bridge is located within the limits of a resurfacing project on Creek Road from the intersection with Route 194 to the intersection with Bentz Mill Road and Kralltown Road.
This project consists of base repair, minor drainage improvements, guide rail updates, asphalt paving, line painting, sign resets, and other construction.
There will be daily lane restrictions under flagging. Travelers should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc., of New Enterprise, PA is the contractor on this $1,104,496 project. Work is expected to be completed by August 7, 2025.
Creek Road average 981 vehicles per day.
