Temporary repairs completed; The bridge, which spans Octoraro Creek at the Chester County line, was closed following a vehicle strike
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Ashville Road (Route 2006) covered bridge in Little Britain Township, Lancaster County, is open to traffic. The bridge, which spans Octoraro Creek at the Chester County line, was closed Thursday, March 27, after being struck and damaged by a vehicle.
Temporary repairs have been completed. A detour associated with the closure has been lifted. Permanent repairs are expected to be completed later this year.
