King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PECO Energy will be performing utility construction on several state highways in Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Chester County
- Friday, April 21, through Tuesday, May 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure will be in place on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Constitution Drive and Sunny Ridge Lane in Pennsbury Township;
- Friday, April 21, through Tuesday, May 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure will be in place on Route 3 (Market Street) between Railroad Street and Matlack Street in West Chester Borough;
- Friday, April 21, through Tuesday, May 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure will be in place on Route 3 (Market Street) between Darlington Street and Woodbine Alley in West Chester Borough;
- Friday, April 21, through Tuesday, May 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure will be in place on Route 252 (Swedesford Road) in between Valley Forge Road and Contention Lane in Tredyffrin Township; and
- Friday, April 21, through Tuesday, May 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure will be in place on Route 372 (1st Avenue) between W. Bridge Street and E. Bridge Street in Parkesburg Borough.
Delaware County
- Friday, April 21, through Tuesday, May 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure will be in place on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Creek Road and Webb Road in Chadds Ford Township;
- Monday, April 24, through Thursday, August 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure will be in place on U.S. 1 (Township Line Road) in both directions between Burmont Road and Reservation Road in Upper Darby Township; and
- Monday, April 24, through Thursday, August 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure will be in place on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in both directions between Sterner Avenue and New Ardmore Avenue in Marple Township.
Montgomery County
- Monday, April 24, through Friday, April 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure will be in place on Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between 6th Street and 7th Street in Pennsburg Borough; and
- Monday, April 24, through Friday, April 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure will be in place on Route 263 (York Road) between Brooks Street and Warren Street in Upper Moreland Township.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
