Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised of a road closure next week on Route 2009 (Middlecreek Road) in Penn Township, Snyder County, for a maintenance project.
On Wednesday, August 23, 2023, through Tuesday, August 29, 2023, Middlecreek Road will be closed between Route 35 and Route 2001 (Clifford Road) in the village of Kantz, Penn Township, while a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew repairs a concrete barrier at the northwest corner of the Kantz blinking light intersection.
Detour
- Local traffic should use Clifford Road, Route 2016 (Sassafrass Street), Air Tower Road, and Sand Hill Road, while work is being performed.
- Truck traffic should use Route 11, Route 104, and Route 35 while work is being performed.
Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting. Motorists should be alert, slow down, be prepared to take alternate routes during this time.
