Resurfacing Project Set to Begin Tomorrow on Route 6 in Mansfield Borough, Richmond and Sullivan Townships, Tioga County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised of that a resurfacing project is set to begin tomorrow on Route 6 in Mansfield Borough, Richmond and Sullivan townships, Tioga County.

On Tuesday, August 1, 2023, the contractor Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc., will begin work on Route 6 between Academy Street in Mansfield Borough and Strange Road east of Mainsburg, Sullivan Township. Motorists can expect alternating lane restrictions where work is being performed.  Work will be performed during daylight hours.

Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc., is the prime contractor for this $2.4 million paving project. Work on this project includes tree trimming, slope stabilization, milling of the existing surface, new pavement, sign upgrades, and line painting. The project is expected to be completed in November of 2023, weather permitting.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, watch for lane changes, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution through the work zone.
