Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Fayette County Maintenance Manager Jason L. Spangler has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of September 9. All maintenance activities depend on weather and operations.
Motorists can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone's responsibility.
Base repair:
- Route 381 (Wharton Furnace Road) in Wharton Township
- Route 2005 (Canaan Church Road) in Wharton Township
- Route 2007 (Gibbon Glade Road) in Wharton Township
Bridge replacement:
- Route 3008 (Willow Grove Road) in Nicholson Township
Road closed. Posted detour:
- Route 3008 (Willow Grove Road)
- Route 3009 (Woodside Old Frame Road)
- Route 3011 (Fairview Hill Road)
Brushing:
- Various routes countywide
Mowing:
- Route 3012 (Leckrone Highhouse Road) in German Township
- Route 3012 (York Run Road) in Georges Township
Pipe replacement:
- Route 4008 (Filbert Orient Road) in Redstone Township
- Route 4010 (Searights Herbert Road) in Redstone Township
Shoulder repair:
- Route 857 (Springhill Furnace Road) in Springhill Township
- Route 857 (Georges Fairchance Road) in Georges and Fairchance townships
- Route 3012 (Leckrone Highhouse Road) in German Township
- Route 3012 (York Run Road) in Georges Township
Sign upgrading:
- Various routes countywide
Litter crews will be picking litter. Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced, and work orders will be addressed on various state routes countywide.
