Weekend Closure Planned for Route 238 (Church Road) Bridge Over I-83 in Manchester Township, York County

​Contractor to perform asphalt paving on the bridge

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Route 238 (Church Road) bridge spanning Interstate 83 north of York in Manchester Township, York County, is scheduled to be closed the weekend of June 21-24 for bridge maintenance work. A contractor will perform asphalt paving on the bridge.

Weather permitting, the bridge will be closed at 9:00 PM Friday, June 21, and reopen by 6:00 AM Monday, June 24.

A detour will be in place using Susquehanna Trail, Lightner Road and Route 181 (George Street).
