Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a detour is scheduled to begin tomorrow for 15th Street at the intersection with Arsenal Boulevard in Susquehanna Township.
Weather permitting, 15th Street will be closed tomorrow at Arsenal Boulevard for intersection improvements. A 35-day detour will be in place using 17th Street and Verbeek Street to 15th Street.
This work is part of a pavement preservation project consisting of concrete patching, diamond grinding, milling, asphalt overlay, traffic signal and intersection improvements, minor drainage repairs and other miscellaneous construction on Cameron Street from Paxton Street to Elmerton Avenue/Wildwood Park Drive, and on Arsenal Boulevard from Maclay Street to 15th Street.
This project is anticipated to be completed by September 1, 2026.
JD Eckman, Inc., of Atglen, PA, is the contractor on this $8,275,459 project.
