King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that various construction activities are scheduled on state highways in Montgomery County on Monday, July 31, through Friday, August 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, as part of a project to address storm water management on over 90 state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.

The work locations are:

  • Allentown Road between Reinert Road and Forty Foot Road in Towamencin Township for curb work;
  • Ridge Pike between Fern Avenue and Caswell Avenue in Lower Providence Township for pipe replacement;
  • Cheltenham Avenue between Paper Mill Road and Delphine Road in Springfield Township for paving operations;
  • Route 663 (Charlotte Street) between Swamp Pike and Swamp Picnic Road in New Hanover Township for milling and paving;
  • Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between McLean Station Road and Knight Road in Marlborough Township for pipe replacement; and
  • Route 73 (Big Road) between Swamp Creek Road and Route 29 (Gravel Pike) in Lower Frederick Township for paving operations.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur. The schedule is weather dependent.
