King of Prussia, PA – U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) is closed in both directions between Henderson Road and Saulin Boulevard in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, due to a sinkhole, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Henderson Road and Saulin Boulevard. Local access will be maintained for residents and businesses. The Upper Merion Police Department will be assisting with traffic control around the closure.
U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) was closed just after 8:00 PM tonight following the discovery of a sinkhole during a reported water outage in the area.
The highway will remain closed in both directions until roadway engineers can determine the extent of the damage and develop a plan to repair the concrete roadway. PA American Water is currently repairing the water main before roadway reconstruction can begin.
