King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing operations are planned on several state highways in Bucks and Chester counties, under multiple ongoing projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, March 17, through Friday, March 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on North Creek Road between Glenloch Drive and Chesterville Road in Franklin Township, Chester County, for milling and paving.
- Monday, March 17, through Friday, March 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Corby Road/Pennock Bridge Road between Route 896 (Newark Road) and Route 841 (Wickerton Road) in Franklin, New London, and Penn townships, Chester County, for milling and paving.
- Monday, March 17, through Friday, March 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Stricklersford Road between Route 472 (Lewisville Road) and the London Britain Township Line in Elk and Franklin townships, Chester County, for milling and paving.
- Monday, March 17, through Friday, March 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 926 (Street Road) between Route 10 (Limestone Road) and Ewing Road in Upper Oxford Township, Chester County, for base repair.
- Monday, March 17, through Friday, March 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Edenton Road/Edwing Road between Route 896 (Newark Road) and Penn Township Line in Upper Oxford and Londonderry townships, Chester County, for base repair.
- Monday, March 17, through Friday, March 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 896 (Newark Road) between Homeville Road and Baltimore Pike in Upper Oxford Township, Chester County, for base repair.
- Monday, March 17, through Friday, March 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Scroggy Road between U.S. 1 (Kennett Oxford Bypass) and North Brookside Drive in Lower Oxford Township, Chester County, for base repair.
- Monday, March 17, through Monday, March 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 213 (Maple Avenue/Bridgetown Pike) between Bristol Road and Old Lincoln Highway in Northampton, Middletown, and Lower Southampton townships, Bucks County, for a maintenance hole adjustment.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
