King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing operations are scheduled on Interstate 95 and other state highways in Delaware, Chester, and Philadelphia counties under multiple ongoing projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Delaware County
- Wednesday, May 29, through Friday, May 31, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-95 between the Route 452 and the I-476 interchanges in Upper Chichester, Ridley, Upland, and Chester townships and City of Chester for pavement repairs.
- Thursday, May 30, and Friday, May 31, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating lane closures are scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Delaware State line and the Route 420 Interchange for line striping.
- Tuesday, May 28, through Friday, May 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Cedar Grove Road between Route 252 (Newtown Street Road) and Route 320 (Sproul Road) in Marple and Newtown townships for utility adjustments, milling, and paving.
- Tuesday, May 28, through Friday, May 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Wallingford Avenue between Manchester Avenue and Route 252 (Providence Road) in Nether Providence Township for utility adjustments, milling, and paving.
- Tuesday, May 28, through Friday, May 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Victory Avenue between Route 3 (West Chester Pike) and the Victory Avenue Bridge over Cobbs Creek in Upper Darby Township for utility adjustments, milling, and paving.
- Tuesday, May 28, through Friday, May 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Media Line Road between Route 252 (Newtown Street Road) and Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Marple Township for utility adjustments, milling, and paving.
- Wednesday, May 29, through Friday, May 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Sugartown Road between Valley Forge Road and the Chester County line in Radnor Township for utility adjustments, milling, and paving.
Chester County
- Tuesday, May 28, through Friday, May 31, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Wagontown Road between Manor Road and the West Caln Township line in Valley Township for paving.
- Tuesday, May 28, through Friday, May 31, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Caln Road/Reeceville Road between Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) and Fisherville Road in Caln Township for milling and paving.
- Tuesday, May 28, through Friday, May 31, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 10 (Limestone Road) between Route 472 (Market Street) and Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) in Oxford Borough and Lower Oxford, Upper Oxford, and West Fallowfield townships for base repair, milling, and paving.
- Tuesday, May 28, through Friday, May 31, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Creek Road between Lewis Mill Road and Route 82 (Manor Road) in West Nantmeal Township for base repair and paving.
- Tuesday, May 28, through Friday, May 31, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 10 (Octorara Trail/Compass Road) between U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) and Beaver Dam Road in West Sadsbury, Sadsbury West Caln, and Honey Brook townships for base repair and paving.
Philadelphia
- Tuesday, May 28, through Friday, May 31, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Walnut Street between 33rd Street and 63rd Street (Cobbs Creek Parkway) for line striping.
- Tuesday, May 28, through Friday, May 31, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Castor Avenue between U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) and Richmond Street for line striping.
- Monday, June 3, through Friday, June 7, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Aramingo Avenue/Harbison Avenue between Wheatsheaf Lane and U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) for milling.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT's contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
