King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PECO Energy will be performing utility construction next week on three state highways in Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Montgomery County
- Monday, October 9, through Friday, October 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on westbound U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Church Road and Argyle Road in Lower Merion Township.
Philadelphia
- Monday, October 9, through Friday, November 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Ridge Avenue at the intersection with Krams Avenue; and
- Monday, October 9, through Friday, November 3, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a weekday closure is scheduled on Route 3 (Chestnut Street) between University Avenue and 36th Street. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use University Avenue, Route 3 (Market Street), and 36th Street. Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
