King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PECO Energy will be performing utility construction on several state highways in Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Chester County
- Monday, May 6, through Friday, May 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Valley Road between Knobb Hill Lane and Bracken Avenue in Tredyffrin Township.
Delaware County
- Monday, May 6, through Friday, September 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled in both directions on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Glen Gary Drive and Eagle Road in Haverford Township.
Montgomery County
- Monday, May 6, through Friday, May 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Kepler Road between Buchert Road and Beaumont Lane in Lower Pottsgrove Township.
- Monday, May 6, through Wednesday, November 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Cedar Road at the intersection with Marvin Road in Cheltenham Township.
- Monday, May 20, through Friday, July 19, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a weekday closure is scheduled on Route 309 (Cheltenham Avenue) at the intersection with Route 611 (Old York Road) in Cheltenham Township. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 611 (Old York Road), Church Road, and Washington Lane. Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.
Philadelphia
- Monday, May 6, through Friday, June 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Ridge Avenue between Paoli Avenue and Livezey Street.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
