Paving Operations Scheduled on Beidler Road in Upper Merion Township

King of Prussia, PA The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that pavement operations are scheduled on Beidler Road in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, as part of a project to address stormwater management on over 90 state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

  • Monday, July 31, through Friday, August 4, a weekday road closure is scheduled on Beidler Road between Geerdes Boulevard and Saratoga Road. During the closure, motorists are directed to use Geerdes Boulevard, Route 23 (Valley Forge Road), and Caley Road.

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.

Highway Materials, Inc of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on this $14.9 million project, which is financed with 100% state funds.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
